About Sasha

Sasha is co-owner of Rose City Physical Therapy and affectionately—and wisely—known by staff as the “big boss,” making co-owner Karl known as the “little boss.” She is a true Oregonian, born in Eugene, and a die-hard Oregon Ducks fan! She attended Walla Walla University for undergraduate studies, graduated from Loma Linda University with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1998, and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Pacific University in 2011.

Sasha holds advanced certifications in line with her interest in orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist (COMT) through The North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.

Areas of specialty include ACL injury prevention through the Sportsmetrics™ Injury Prevention Program, in which Sasha holds Master Certification in ACL injury reduction, post-op treatment, and return to sport testing. She is also certified in Blood Flow Restriction training (BFR Certified) through B Strong and Concussion Management—certified through the Complete Concussion Management program. She has co-developed Rose City Physical Therapy’s ACL Injury Return to Sport testing program and the Upper Extremity Return to Sport testing program, both of which are steeped in evidence-based approaches to testing and decision making. She also enjoys returning runners to their sport with a particular interest in female athletes and bone stress injury.

In her free time, Sasha enjoys snowshoeing, downhill skiing, surfing, hiking, yoga, running half marathons, cooking, traveling, and watching football— an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Oregon Ducks.
